Another increase in participation saw even more people enjoying themselves at the Felixstowe Congress. Cautiously optimistic after last year's increase in numbers, the organisers were very pleased to see both pairs and teams numbers up again.
Suffolk are again pleased to acknowledge the generous sponsorship of Dummett Copp, the local firm of International Patent and Trade Mark attorneys. We can be proud that bridge can be associated with intellectual business. This year we were pleased to welcome Dummett Copp partner and Felixstowe resident Alison Simons who presented the awards on Sunday.

One thing that wasn't quite as good as last year was the weather however the sun put in an appearance on both days.
But even so, if you're by the seaside, there are some things you just have to do …
The congress was again run smoothly by Malcolm Carey and his wife Barbara (who as results and pairings maestro meant spending most of her time at the computer behind the curtain).
