Table Talk

As a default, we send every Suffolk member a copy of Table Talk. We recognise that many members share the same address but we're careful to do this - far be it from us to get involved in squabbles about who crossed out the cards in the diagrams! But, equally so, we know that some of you think having two copies delivered to the same address is plain wasteful, so…

If you currently get two copies to your house and only want one, drop an email or have a word with the membership secretary .

On a similar note, to diminish postage, a committee member will try a one-time hand-out at the large clubs in early April - if you're not there, yours will go in the post. Before then, you may get an email checking that we have got a club against your name.

And lastly, the copy date - March 23rd - for the spring issue is almost upon us, so if you have any bridge experience to write about, the editor would love to hear from you.

Suffolk AGM

Too early for a reminder that the AGM is on Sunday the 18th of May? It will be here sooner than you think - motions, nominations for office and items for discussion should be sent to the SCBA secretary, .

Over twenty 'newcomers' plucked up courage and dipped their toes in competitive bridge, many for the very first time. Some played with friends and tutors and some, like winner Sonia Allfrey, met their partner for the first time on the night. Feedback from the players was uniformly positive and this event looks like happening more often than every leap day.
