Alan Day
It is with sadness we have to announce the death of Alan Day.
Alan was a stalwart of Suffolk and Ipswich bridge since moving to the county in 1971. He was on the committee in the early years of the association, serving terms as Chairman and Membership Secretary. He also had been Treasurer of Ipswich & Kesgrave and was Captain until very recently when ill health forced him to stand down. Ever willing to turn out for the county team, Suffolk bridge will miss him. Our thoughts are with his wife Diane and family.
Bridge in the Cupboard
A tale from the cupboard that is hard to believe: Cassandra, the Two of Diamonds strives against poor omens.
EBU Club Focus
The fifth edition of Club Focus, the EBU email to clubs on odd-numbered months, is available as a download. Past issues are on the EBU website. The SCBA passes Club Focus to club secretaries so it may already have graced your notice board.
