Happy New Year!

New Year, New Table Talk

Richard Evans

In his editorial for last Autumn's Table Talk, Norman Less announced he was stepping down as editor and Richard Evans was taking over.

Richard was born in Martlesham and went to school in Ipswich but now lives in Stansfield, between Clare and Bury St Edmunds. He began a career in journalism on the East Anglian Daily Times, before working for The Times for twenty years and Daily Telegraph for ten, covering politics then sport. He is a member of Clare bridge club and currently teaches bridge to more than fifty people locally.

With the advent of the EBU's Universal Membership now a year away, Richard has plans to change Table Talk, he says,

"First issue of the 'new' Table Talk is due out in early spring. It will be A4 size instead of A5 and a very different design. It will contain photographs, several new writers and columnists - plus advertisements.

"Apart from increasing the news content and number of different writers, there will be a section devoted to what is happening in clubs in the county, so please email me any news/photographs from your club events at . And if you would like to advertise, email or telephone (01284 789546)."
