Felixstowe Congress
Who were the Bright Lights at this year's Congress? The full results are below.
The Felixstowe Congress continues to go from strength to strength. This year saw another increase in numbers, with people from all parts enjoying the bridge. There is a gallery of photographs taken at the event.
Not content to rest on his laurels, congress secretary is keen to receive your comments - we value your opinions.
Bridge in the Cupboard
A touch of the Blarney as Cessair, the Four of Clubs spins a yarn.
Jyl Marsh
It is with great sadness we note the death of Jyl Marsh. Jyl served on the Suffolk committee for several years as Competitions Secretary and was energetic in keeping the Felixstowe Congress alive in tough times – she would have been delighted with the turnout last weekend.

Suffolk v Cambs & Hunts
Suffolk had a mixed result against Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire, two narrow losses and a comprehensive win. The 'A' lost 9-11 VPs (-9 IMPs), the 'B' team won 20-0 (+77) and the 'C' team lost 7-13 (-13). Team details and butlers are on the Suffolk website (Excel spreadsheet).
If you are interested in playing for the county side, Suffolk has a policy of granting all those interested an outing for the 'C' team: contact the captain .
Brighton Footnotes
My eyesight failed as the list of results scrolled past and it has been brought to my attention that I missed out two pairs who played on the first weekend:
| 99= | David Cooper & John Williams | 157 |
| 423 | Michael O'Reilly & Doc Lacey | 107 |
Sorry guys - and well done to everyone who tests their bridge outside the county. We like to report your participation whatever the outcome. If I do miss any more - just get in touch by return.
And before we leave Brighton completely, Robert Green wishes it to be known that his poor performance was down to the pain in his toe. He played most of the time completely convinced he had broken his big toe but it was only gout.
(Robert – I did get that right didn't I? This is better than just having an off event…?)
