February 2010

Suffolk Website

SCBA FrontpageAfter creating the website in 2002 and maintaining it since, Din Gudka is stepping down and handing over to the Suffolk Committee.

The county owes Din a huge debt of gratitude – we have a great site which is an important communication with bridge players in Suffolk. In part this success persuaded Din that the site should lie more formally with the committee when, after the membership changes in April, it will become even more important representation of the association.

If you haven't visited the site recently, catch up on the ever-changing content or by clicking the image.

Club Secretaries' Meeting

Every two years the Suffolk Association has a meeting for clubs. The most recent was in 2007 and last year's was purposely held over to 23rd February 2010, nearer the time Universal Membership begins in April.

Club Secretaries have set the agenda (download a copy or the minutes of the last meeting in 2007); if you have a suggestion, comment or question that relates to how the SCBA interacts with clubs, make sure you raise it with your club representative.

Newmarket Club

… has moved. The club now meet on Thursdays at The Stables, High Street, Newmarket and start at 7.00pm. The Newmarket secretary (01353 663324) would be happy to answer any questions.
